The Hip preservation team at the London Hip Unit is a highly specialised centre focused exclusively on the assessment and treatment of complex hip conditions in young adults. As part of the renowned London Hip Unit, we offer superior care for patients with non-arthritic conditions causing hip pain such as femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and hip dysplasia, using the latest techniques and surgical technologies in hip to treat pain, restore function and prevent long-term damage.

Our unit is led by two highly regarded hip preservation specialists: Mr Jonathan Hutt and Mr Alastair Dick. Both surgeons are dual fellowship trained and widely recognized for their advanced expertise in treating young adult hip conditions, encompassing a complete range of modern imaging modalities and surgical techniques. They also work together in their NHS appointments at University College London Hospital, the busiest hip preservation unit in the UK, and are can bring their seamless collaborative approach to delivering the best outcomes in this complex subspecialty of hip surgery to the London Hip Unit. Every patient receives a tailored treatment plan based on their specific condition and needs.
